In accordance with our goals and within a wider framework of our activities, European Movement in Montenegro organised the "Month of Europe" project, intended to promote European values, ideas and principles within the civil society of Montenegro.
This project was comprised of more than 20 single activities ranging from sport and entertainment to formal diplomatic, as well as cultural and educational events, which served to promote the in the best of spirits the essence of European integrations in Montenegro.
In the realisation of this project, European Movement in Montenegro was assisted by the following organisations and institutions: Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and European Integrations of the Montenegrin government, (MFEREI), city of Podgorica, city of Budva, European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR), Italian Cultural Centre in Belgrade and the Italian Cultural Centre in Podgorica.
Among the activities implemented under the umbrella of the "Month of Europe" project we wish to emphasise the following:
1. Day of Europe Celebration
On Sunday, May 8th 2005. European Movement in Montenegro in cooperation with the City of Podgorica, MFEREI and European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) organised manifestation titled "May 9th - Day of Europe", which took place in the main square of Podgorica and the nearby tourist destination of Mareza. Public manifestation was succeeded by a football match between teams representing Podgorica and Europe, which in the afternoon was followed by a basketball game. Beside this, in the afternoon hours there was an art campaign in the main square where children were given large panels to draw Europe and their own country in it - an event which carried the name "Children paint Europe". Few of the best drawings received special awards from the organiser.
The same day, European Movement in Montenegro together with the City of Budva celebrated this day in the streets of the Montenegrin tourist capital.
2. May 13th - lecture by Josep Lloveras
On May 13th 2005 Josep Lloversa, head of the European Comission Delegation to Serbia and Montenegro held a lecture at the School of European Integrations. In the evening, EMIM and MFEREI organised a reception in the National Theatre of Montenegro with the participation of the Montenegrin Radio-Television chamber orchestra, celebrating the Day of Europe.

All 4 evenings there was a selection of films by the renowned Italian author Michelangelo Antonioni. Unprecedented number of people who attended the projection of all four films (Eros, Under the Clouds, Enlargement and Identification of a woman) certified to the existence of an immense public interest in the activities of this kind. This event too ended with public congratulations to the organisers of the "Month of Europe".
4. Jun 8th - Presentation of the “Textbook for School of European Integrations”
Public presentation of the new Textbook for the School of European Integrations was held in the library "Radosav Ljumović”, in Podgoricia on the 8th of June 2005.
