Study on methods of organisation and work of European Movement in countries members of former SFRY

International European Movement originated in 1948, on First European Congress held in The Hague, which was attended by entrepreneurs, intellectuals and several European statesmen of the time (including Konrad Adenauer, Francois Mitterand and others) and chaired by Winston Churchill. Reason for this gathering resided in strenuous efforts of various public characters at the time to promote reconstruction, unification and development of a new Europe, which will be based upon the principles of human rights and personal freedoms. Eurostarbus

In late September 2004 (21st, 22nd and 23rd), in cooperation with the European movement in Serbia, and with the assistance of the Embassy of the Netherlands, Great Britain, Sweden, British Council, European Agency for Reconstruction and European Union Delegation in Serbia and Montenegro, we have organised a promotional-educational campaign "Eurostarbus" - "My city in Europe". Declaration about the accession to EU

In summer 2004 we initiated a complex working process, which was to continue until the end of the year and all throughout the first half of 2005, all aimed at attaining social and parliamentary consensus in Montenegro concerning the European Integrations. This project officially ended with the endorsement of Declaration about the accession to EU signed at the regular meeting of the Montenegrin Parliament, on Jun 8th 2005. The initiative for drafting of this Declaration belongs to European Movement in Montenegro and several other non-governmental organisations (CEE, CDNGO, CEDEM, GFC and CEMI). School of European Integrations

School of European Integrations is a programme of alternative education in the area of European Integrations. So far 2 generations of students graduated from this School (January-June 2004, September 2004-January 2005), counting 40 students per generation. The programme lasts 4 months and contains 7 modules with a total of 28 lectures given by best renowned experts in the field from all over the county, and abroad. EMIM is an active partner in this project which is realised through cooperation of several NGOs (European Movement in Montenegro, Centre for Civic Education, Centre for Development of Non-Governmental Organisations), with the financial support of the Open Society Institute Foundation resident office in Montenegro. Month of Europe (May 8th – June 8th 2005)

In accordance with our goals and within a wider framework of our activities, European Movement in Montenegro organised the "Month of Europe" project, intended to promote European values, ideas and principles within the civil society of Montenegro. Read more about the Month of Europe here>>>
